Ransomware gang leaks knowledge stolen from Metropolis of Oakland

The Play ransomware gang has begun to leak knowledge from the Metropolis of Oakland, California, that was stolen in a latest cyberattack.

The preliminary knowledge leak consists of a 10GB multi-part RAR archive allegedly containing confidential paperwork, worker data, passports, and IDs.

“Personal and private confidential knowledge, monetary data. IDs, passports, worker full data, human rights violation data. For now partially revealed compressed 10gb,” acknowledged the cybercriminals on their knowledge leak website.

In an up to date assertion posted yesterday, the Metropolis stays that they’re monitoring the state of affairs and can notify any people whose private data was uncovered.

The Metropolis suffered the ransomware attack on February 8th, with all IT programs taken offline till the community was secured.
